This fits over my head and hair with a lot of comfort. I like that my hair is in control and doesn't get in my face. It's so comfy that I really forget that I'm wearing it until I take it off, and them I'm surprised how cool or cold the air feels! This cap is great for keeping in my warmth, and most of my hair stays dry too!

Went for a swim in Jordanelle Reservoir, UT, the day it arrived- October 13th- water temp in low 60s. What a difference! Head and ears were toasty. No ice cream headaches. Fit my average-sized noggin perfectly. Chin strap was snug but not in any way tight or uncomfortable. With my full-length Xterra wetsuit and my new skull cap I'll be swimming till Jordanelle ices over!

For cold water swims, blue seventy gear is top notch. Hat, gloves and booties are all great. Turns a cold water swim into a pleasant swim.

I had to swim 1.2 mi in a mid 50s F lake past weekend and this cap had helped a lot! I did not feel cold at all. My ears were protected and everything just felt so snug and tacked away, protected. It did not chafe either, which was my concern, since the chin strap seemed to be tight (I got size small). I have long hair and did not encounter any issues with that.

This cap is made of nice, thick neoprene so I'm sure it insulates quite well. It fits securely. I would not recommend it for anyone with long hair though. It has that sticky finish to the neoprene that grabs and pulls on your hair.
