Waterproof for Sure Mar 31, 2009
By Buckeye_Knight I just used Bull Frog Sunblock Surfer Formula, for the first time, on a trip to the Caribbean. Even after snorkeling in salt water and swimming in chlorinated swimming pools, it worked day after day. I never got a sun burn, except for a small spot that I missed on my face (my fault).
One family member, on this same trip, used Banana Boat brand, and got burnt pretty bad, even though it said it was water proof. I can attest to this, as I have used Banana Boat in the past, and had the same problem.
I have used Bull Frog brand for many years now, and it is the only brand that I trust to keep from being burned while in the water.

You Can't Touch This Jun 15, 2008
By Elliot Malach
"The Unknown Surfer"
I have been using Bullfrog since it first came out. I have always lived by the ocean, 12 of those years in Hawaii. The sun is intense there, and being a competitive triathlete at the time, I needed something that would protect me from getting fried for 9 hours. The 80's version was good, but Bullfrog kept improving it. This Surfer's Formula is the absolute best. I use it every day. I spend 2 weeks a month surfing in Costa Rica, and I can stay in the water for hours and never burn. It just does not come off. Just make sure you don't get it on your wax. Nothing on the market can touch this stuff.

Best. Sunblock. Ever. Aug 29, 2009
By Cory Crain This is quite honestly the best sunblock on the market. Going on it feels like you are coating yourself with a layer of wax or something heavy, but that feeling goes away as quickly as it dries, which is pretty darn quick. Once on, it will guard you from getting burned for quite some time and doesn't rub off at all. It's the best I've found. Only crappy thing was TSA taking it from my carry on while going through security at the airport, so I had to use some lame sunscreen on vaca.
Note: the regular BullFrog Quick Gel is not the same as the surfer formula. It will rub off and ball up, not near the same quality of product.

Bullfrog beats them all Apr 11, 2006

"Gardening hot mom"
I have used and promoted Bullfrog surfer gel to all the people I know with young kids or not. It works very well and stays on through thick and thin. You still tan through it but never burn and that's so important in this day and age. I send a monthly chicks-picks to my girl friends and this was at the top of the list for upcoming summer and springbreaks this month. It works and is worth the extra $$$$$ Janet from sunny georgia

dont use around sand Sep 21, 2010
By Lynda this was great to use while snorkling, but when we used it on the beach, it allows the sand the stick to any area you have applied it, and is very hard to get the sand off. I would suggest use for water activities only.
