It really works Jun 18, 2007

I am a Nikon SLR guy, but I wanted something cheap for snorkling. This camera actually works. You are limited sometimes since the flash is not on a cord. But for $20, it does what it claims: underwater 35mm with a dinky flash.

Simlpe and useful Dec 30, 2010
By StevenWeaver This is a great starter camera for underwater photographers. The buttons are big, and easy to find. It has a flash and takes pretty good images, so I would recommend this over a disposable underwater camera. I must say, whenever I bring this along with me to a pool or the ocean, it ends up being lots of fun.

Great underwater camera value. Skip the "brand names". Easy to use and RE-USE since you can replace the film and batteries.

Not all that easy to use, picture quality isnt very impressive Jan 04, 2010
By SK 1. First of all, everything about the camera is manual. Loading the film, remembering to rewind before opening the rear of the camera etc. It took me a while to figure it out. And by the way, I did expose one roll that had my diving pictures. Since it happened in dimly lit room, I still got some pictures. 2. Having a flash was a plus but isnt a huge improvement. The pictures come good only in very short range. It defeats the whole purpose of wanting to take pictures when you go diving or snorkelling. It didnt capture the colors or the detail.
Overall it wasnt much of an improvement over a disposable camera.
Don't buy! Outdated film!! Mar 20, 2012
By Richard L. Elias I'd used Fuji waterproof disposables before and wasn't crazy about the results. The prints were all green. The miracle of Photoshop found images in the blur, so all in all . . .not too bad. I bought this Intova reusable because, well, it's reusable. I considered getting a waterproof digital camera but those get pricy; probably the best deal going is a waterproof Kodak video camera ($100+) but I don't know if it can be used for still photos. I also bought a waterproof camera bag to use with my Panasonic camcorder, a little cheapie, but didn't get to try it.
I just got back prints from the Intova: 21 pictures on a 27 exposure roll. Nearly all of them green blurs. I didn't read the package UNTIL the pix came back: the camera, which comes loaded with a roll 0f 35mm film, had a DEVELOP BY date of JUNE 2009!! That, my friends, is three years ago. The vendor should not sell a camera with expired film or, at least, they should say so. After all, it isn't hard to get new film and load the darn thing. As it is, I got ZERO pictures from my underwater vacation.
The camera itself seems awfully basic: fixed focus, a flash lever, a winding dial, a gunsight eyepiece. Nothing fancy. I wasn't expecting sophistication. One downside I hadn't foreseen was that the camera is bulkier than a Fuji underwater disposable. This makes it unwieldy if you swim and hold the camera at the same time. (A plus: an adjustable wrist lanyard help you keep it with you.)
What did I expect for the low price I paid? I didn't expect film three years after its drop dead date.
