Cute, but flawed. Jun 26, 2010
I have waist length hair and have been searching for a swim cap to protect it from the chlorine in my pool, as I swim every day in summer. I also have been looking for something that doesn't make me look like an alien when I wear it, so I finally settled on this cap in black. It's super cute and retro but I found it to be a bit difficult.
First off, it's large. Like... really large. I found that when I put it on I could turn my head and the back sides of the cap moved independently, so water goes right up and under the cap. That defeats the purpose.
Second, the interior of the cap has no liner, so the latex grabs onto your hair and rips it almost completely out every time you put on or take off the cap if you don't line your hair with something first (stocking cap works). It being latex, also smells funky. No good!
Third, the flowers, cute as can be, are super delicate. You have to ensure that you put it on and adjust it ONLY by the cap base, and work your finders in and under the flowers as you tug or stretch the cap. Not a dealbreaker, but still.
Over all the cap is super cute and I exchanged mine for a petite "child" version because I like it. It definitely wouldn't last more than a season, but for $[...] bucks, what can you do?

It's a funky swim hat, comfy, covers the ears well, but rather heavy. If not secured firmly, the cap will have air and floats the head above water. The flowers are not tear proof cause I tore a piece when I first put it on. Definately not for sports.

Cute, cute, cute. I bought this Speedo flower swim cap for my 83 year old mother to wear in water aerobics. She was the hit of the class! Unfortunately, she can't hear the instructor too well, because the cap comes down over her ears. Oh, well! She looks sassy, and that's what really counts!
