5great fins!  Aug 23, 2009
By Mutantfrog
These fins are exactly what I was looking for.

They are one piece rubber--meaning that the heel is the same thickness/type of material as the blade. Lightweight. Not at all like the competition style training fins made by SPeedo or TYR. Those fins frequently have really thick/stiff blades and very soft foot pockets--tends to push into the arch of the foot while you're kicking. Gives me foot cramps, which is why I was looking for something else.

The colors came as described, but the fin says "Titan" on it rather than Better Times.
Since it does what it's supposed to do, I don't care, but others might, so I'm noting it here.

For those that used (and loved) the old black Voit competitive swimming fins, you'll really like these. Nothing beats a Voit fin, but these are pretty darn close.

The last pair I had like these (except it actually said "better times" on it) lasted 8 years. So, I think the money is worth it for this product.

1CHECK MALAYSIAN SIZE BEFORE YOU BUY  Feb 04, 2010
By Betty
My son wears Men's size 8 1/2 shoes. Prior to placing the order, I called the vendor who suggested that I order Men's size 9 to 11
which I did. NOTE: the fins are sized according to Malaysian shoe sizes. When I opened the package I received Malaysia size 44-45 which is Men's size 11 to 13. I immediately contacted the merchant who suggested that my son wear socks (of course, this didn't work). My middle-aged husband tried on the fins wearing a pair of socks and they were too large. Malaysia size 42-44 is Men's size 9 to 11. I contacted Amazon customer service department and the rep told me that the merchant should refund my entire purchase including shipping as they sent the wrong item. Next, I visited our local YMCA and looked at their swim fins. Sure enough, fins with Malaysia size 42 -44 showed 9-11 as the conversion on the fins. After I received my RMA (return merchandise authorization), the entire order was mailed via FEDEX back to the merchant on December 27, 2009 who received and signed for it on January 4th. I waited 2 weeks and received a survey from the merchant on January 20th. I filled it out and asked for my refund as I did in my return package. Another 2 weeks went by and no refund. Today I filed a complaint with the disputes department of my credit card company who is investigating the complaint. NOTE: Check out your Malaysian size and give the vendor your malaysian size before you purchase anything. I am out $14 in shipping so far and have not received a refund. I decided to order the swim fins through Swim Outlet and, sure enough, the Malaysian sizing was lower for the American conversion than those used by Swim2000. The fins from Swim Outlet fit my son perfectly! The sales people at Swim2000 are cheerful and the merchandise is sent out quickly. However, the ordeal is 5 weeks old and I'm still waiting for my refund.

4Sizing runs small  Dec 01, 2009
By S. Barker
I wear an women's 8-8 1/2 shoe and the 7-9 size was kind of small for my foot. I gave them to my daughter who wears a 7 1/2 -8 and they fit her just fine. The 9-11 fin is quite a jump up in size and width. The quality of the fin itself is OK although not quite like the old voit which I have a pair of so easy to compare. These fins do float however which is a big plus.

2Flippers  May 30, 2011
By Sally in Annapolis
I could kick myself. I read all the reviews on Amazon before buying them, but sure enough the reviews are right that these flippers run very small. There is nothing wrong with the flippers....they just don't fit. Buy bigger than what you think you need.

5no expert on fins am I but I love these!!  Jul 16, 2010
By Therese D. Barry
I am not an expert on swim fins; I have not had a pair in decades. I am not the typical swim fin buyer or even swimmer but that is a so what! At the pool the other day I borrowed some fins and remembered what fun I had with them long ago so i decided to order some.

I selected these because there is free-shipping (with the minimum order) and the reviews are pretty good. I wear a woman's size 6 or 6.5 W shoe so I ordered the woman's 5-7 and the fit is perfect. They stay on in the water, are comfortable and they float. I would like to have been able to select the color; blue and dull purple is a boring combo. But, color aside, these are great fins; I highly recommend them.
