minimalist trunks Dec 22, 2010
By A. Fegely I bought these to train for a triathlon. They're minimalist trunks, fairly thin material with a lining only in the center front. I like them a lot and think they're more comfortable than the similar "TYR Square Leg Suit" I also bought. I got what I ordered, didn't have the problem of the previous poster.

fit well & well made Nov 04, 2011

Though other reviews made me question the size, I went with 34 inch trunks - my actual waist is about 33. They fit perfectly and could fit if I grow out another inch or lost an inch. So far seem well made.

A+ Swim shorts. Needed replacement and these fit perfectly Sep 23, 2011
By Paul H. Hunt I have to replace swim trunks about every four months and found these TYR are great. Hold their shape for everyday use for about 4months. by end of 4months they have lost most of the hue, become transparent and are stretched out. but I've found most of the other brands last about 3months.

Great item for guys with bigger legs. May 25, 2011
By Brian Dawidowicz
"-AKA: fatboy @ SRK"
I am a tall big guy. I am 6'6" and weight 265 lbs. I am built like a lineman. I strength train 3 times a week(I don't body build, those who train know the difference) times a week use the practice programming method outlined by Mark Rippetoe (Great book, go by it). Needless to say, I still have really big quads and hamstrings. It was hard for me to find a mid thigh trainer with enough of a leg opening to feel comfortable. I tried every version of mid thigh Speedo, and each was just a little too tight. The TYR product has just a little bit (~maybe~ 1/2 inch more in diameter) more thigh space, but it really makes all the difference in the world. I love them.
Don't take the single star reviewer too heavily. The product is great, and shouldn't be that heavily downgraded by a bad shipping / poor customer service experience.

Great suit for fitness swimming Sep 20, 2011
By E. F Santamaria I bought these after reading the other reviewers' positive experiences, and I echo their good reviews. The suit fits true-to-size, which is much different than I've found with Speedo suits. I bought one size larger than my actual size - they'll be OK but I wish I'd bought true-to-size.
In actuality, they have a shorter inseam than the picture used in the description - mine have a 3" inseam (from crotch seam to bottom of the inside of the leg.) It's just the right length!
